EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

LARGE media conglomerates dominate the L.A. radio market. More than half the market is controlled by just three companies: CBS Radio, Clear Channel Communications Inc. and Univision Communications Inc.

CBS Radio owns seven of the 25 highest-rated stations, according to data provided by Arbitron Inc. for the summer quarter. No. 5 KROQ-FM (106.7) was the highest-rated station in the group, with a 3.8 share.
